Milon of Crotone

Find a portion of the elements of our treasure hunt:

At the entrance to the square is the statue of Milon of Crotone, a Greek athlete sculpted by Pierre Puget. The statue represents the legend’s death. Milon of Crotone, having found an oak wide open with wooden corners which had been thrown into it, undertook to finish the split with his bare hands; But under effort the corners were disengaged, the two parts of the tree joined, his hands were taken as in a vise. Alone and trapped, he was devoured by wolves. Pierre Puget will replace these by a lion, more original at the time.
